Europe’s largest Outdoor Exhibition and Agricultural Trade Show,
the National Ploughing Championships attracts on average 1,400 exhibitors and
over 200,000 visitors annually. The 2014 National Ploughing Championships will take place
from 23rd to 25th September at Ratheniska, Stradbally, Co Laois. Gates Open at 8am

By Rail and Bus By Car:
Irish Rail and Bus Eireann are offering a combined train/bus ticket
for this year’s ploughing and will provide a service from Portlaoise,
Athy and Portarlington Stations.

Just 15 minutes from Portlaoise to the site – why take the car? See and for more information.

Following the success of last year, Iarnrod Eireann will again be providing trains and Bus Eireann a bus transfer service to the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, near Portlaoise in September 2014.

Travel on scheduled morning train services to Portlaoise, Portarlington or Athy (one shuttle service from Athy each day) where a bus awaits to transport you to the ploughing site. Frequent return services back to stations from 15.00 hours onwards.
